Stuffed Jalapenos
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Prepare the Jalapenos
Rinse the jalapeno peppers under cold water. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes, which will help reduce the heat.
- 3
Make the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp paste, cream cheese, minced garlic, lime juice, chili powder, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is creamy.
- 4
Stuff the Jalapenos
Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each jalapeno half with the shrimp paste mixture. Pack it in well so that it holds its shape.
- 5
Prepare for Baking
Place the stuffed jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the top of each stuffed jalapeno.
- 6
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapenos are tender and the filling is slightly golden.
- 7
Serve
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your spicy yet delightful shrimp paste-stuffed jalapenos!
