Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs for better flavor absorption. Rinse and pat dry.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.

  4. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, cover with another piece of foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  5. 5

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the top foil, and brush BBQ sauce generously over the ribs. Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and return the ribs to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 6

    Prepare Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix with your favorite dressing. Toss well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. 7

    Prepare Cornbread

If using pre-made cornbread, simply slice into pieces. If making from scratch, follow your cornbread recipe and bake according to instructions. Allow to cool before slicing.
