Preparation
- 1
Juicing the Lemons
Roll the lemons on a flat surface with the palm of your hand to soften them. Cut them in half and use a juicer to extract the juice into a measuring cup. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice.
- 2
Dissolving the Sugar
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- 3
Combining Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the sugar syrup (from the previous step), and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
Serving
- 4
Chilling the Lemonade
If you prefer cold lemonade, add 2 cups of ice cubes to the pitcher or refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- 5
Garnishing
For a refreshing touch, add mint leaves and lemon slices to the pitcher or directly into glasses while serving.
- 6
Serving the Lemonade
Pour the lemonade into glasses and serve cold. Enjoy your refreshing homemade lemonade!
