Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the half rack of pork ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Rub salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the ribs.

  2. 2

    Wrap and Cook

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil. Place them on a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 4

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.

Finishing Touches

  1. 5

    Glaze the Ribs

After the ribs have cooked, remove them from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  2. 6

    Broil for Crispiness

Set your oven to broil. Place the ribs back in the oven for about 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
