Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low and slow cooking method will help tenderize the ribs.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. This will help the seasonings penetrate better and improve tenderness.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring to cover both sides evenly.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Wrap in Foil

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil. This will help keep them moist while they cook.

  2. 5

    Bake the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours. The ribs should be tender and the meat should pull away from the bone easily.

Finishing

  1. 6

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap them. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce all over the ribs.

  2. 7

    Broil for Crispiness

Place the ribs under the broiler for 5-10 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.

  3. 8

    Rest and Serve

Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
