Method
Prepare the Meats
- 1
Grill Chicken Breast
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Preheat the grill to medium heat, and grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).
- 2
Cook Pork Chops
Season the pork chops with your choice of spices. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach a minimum internal temperature of 145°F.
- 3
Brown Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, for about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat and season to taste.
Prepare the Sides

- 5
Steam Broccoli
Place broccoli florets in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender.
- 6
Prepare Corn
If using fresh corn, remove the kernels from the cob. Boil or steam for about 5 minutes until tender. If using canned corn, simply heat through in a saucepan.
- 7
Make Coleslaw
In a bowl, mix shredded cabbage and carrots. Add mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and salt to taste. Toss to combine.
Bake the Biscuit
- 8
Prepare Biscuit Dough
Preheat your oven to 425°F. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined.
- 9
Shape and Bake
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll or pat to about 1-inch thickness, then cut into rounds. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- 10
Serve with Apple Butter
Once baked, serve the biscuits warm with a generous spread of apple butter.
