Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Make the Smash Patty

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Form the ground beef into a loose ball and place it on the hot skillet. Press down with a spatula to create a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Cook the patty for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned and crispy. Flip the patty, top with the pepper jack cheese, and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  3. 3

    Assemble the BBQ Smash

Toast the burger bun until golden. Place the cooked smash patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun. Top with chopped brisket, crispy fried onions, jalapeños, and a generous drizzle of BBQ aioli. Cover with the top half of the bun.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve immediately with extra BBQ aioli on the side if desired.
