Crostini Ingredients

Method

Crostini Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

Drizzle the bread slices with extra virgin olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Topping

In a bowl, mix the Sardinian sheep's milk ricotta with Sicilian sea salt and the fresh wild herbs until well combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Crostini

Spread a generous amount of the ricotta mixture on each toasted bread slice. Drizzle with a little more olive oil if desired, and garnish with additional herbs.

  5. 5

    Serve

Enjoy your Sardinian sheep's milk ricotta crostini warm or at room temperature.
