Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crostini

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Brush both sides of each slice with melted butter and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Toast the Crostini

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the slices are golden brown and crispy. Remove from oven and let cool.

  3. 3

    Make the Duck Rillette

In a mixing bowl, shred the duck confit using a fork. Mix in the old green mustard until well blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Crostini

Spread a generous amount of duck rillette onto each toasted baguette slice. Top with cornichons, pickled onions, and roasted red peppers.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
