Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Shred the Sirloin Steak

Cook the sirloin steak in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Shred the meat using two forks and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the poblano peppers into thin strips and slice the onion into rings. Set them aside for frying.

  3. 3

    Make Pico de Gallo

In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste to prepare the pico de gallo.

Frying

  1. 4

Fry Poblano Peppers and Onion Strings

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the sliced poblano peppers and onion rings, frying until they are crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling the Philly Steak

  1. 5

    Assemble the Ingredients

Warm the flour tortillas in a skillet or microwave. On each tortilla, layer the shredded sirloin steak, sharp cheddar cheese, crispy fried poblano peppers, onion strings, pico de gallo, and queso dip.

  2. 6

    Roll and Serve

Fold the tortillas over the filling to enclose it, and serve immediately while warm.
