Preparation
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes.
- 2
Season the Beef
Drain excess fat if necessary, then add the taco seasoning to the cooked beef. Stir in 1/4 cup of water and reduce heat to low. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture is heated through and the flavors meld.
Assembly
- 3
Prepare Taco Shells
While the beef is simmering, preheat your oven according to the taco shell package instructions. Once preheated, warm the taco shells for about 5 minutes.
- 4
Assemble Tacos
Remove the taco shells from the oven. Start filling each shell with a generous scoop of the seasoned beef, followed by a handful of cheddar jack cheese, and top with lettuce, diced tomato, sour cream, and salsa as desired.
