Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Mix Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
Grilling
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once grilled, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it.
Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Tortilla
Warm the flour tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side or until soft.
- 7
Assemble the Wrap
Slice the grilled chicken into strips. On each tortilla, layer shredded lettuce, sliced chicken, cheddar jack cheese, pico de gallo, and drizzle salsa verde on top.
- 8
Wrap and Serve
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom up. Serve immediately and enjoy!
