Method

Chips Preparation

  1. 1

    Cut Tortillas

Cut each corn tortilla into 6 equal wedges to form chips.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  3. 3

    Fry Chips

Carefully place tortilla wedges in the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  4. 4

    Drain and Salt

Remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Immediately sprinkle with salt to taste.

Roja Salsa Preparation

  1. 5

    Prep Ingredients

Roughly chop the tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, and garlic.

  2. 6

    Blend Salsa

In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth or to your desired consistency.

  3. 7

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.

Verde Salsa Preparation

  1. 8

    Prep Ingredients

Remove the husks from the tomatillos and chop them, along with the onion and jalapeños.

  2. 9

    Blend Salsa

In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped tomatillos, onion, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth or to your desired consistency.

  3. 10

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
