Brisket

Method

Prepare the Brisket

  1. 1

    Season the Brisket

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the brisket, ensuring even coverage.

  2. 2

    Roast the Brisket

Place the seasoned brisket in a slow cooker or a roasting pan. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

  3. 3

    Add BBQ Sauce

Once the brisket is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker or pan. Shred the meat using two forks and mix in the BBQ sauce until well combined. Let it rest for a few minutes.

Assemble the Tacos

  1. 4

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the flour tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.

  2. 5

    Fill the Tacos

Place a generous portion of the BBQ brisket onto each tortilla. Top with chopped onions and cilantro.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve the brisket tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos before eating.
