Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into evenly sized sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large, heavy pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Fry the potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt and paprika to taste.
