For the Chicken Parmesan
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it in the egg, and then coat it with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Pan-Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.
- 4
Add Cheese
Place the cooked chicken in a baking dish. Top each piece with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Cook the Pasta
While the chicken is baking, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 6
Serve
To serve, place the cooked pasta on a plate, top with homemade marinara sauce, and add the chicken parmesan on top. Garnish with extra Parmesan if desired.
