In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Add olive oil, salt, and garlic powder to the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.

Mix Ingredients

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the dough, divide into equal pieces, and shape each piece into a long stick.

Place the shaped breadsticks on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dried herbs.

Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Pour in the canned diced tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
