Method
Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
- 2
Cook Pasta
Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- 3
Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water.
Preparing the Vegetables
- 4
Chop Vegetables
While the pasta is cooking, chop the bell peppers, zucchini, carrot, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
Making the Garlic Sauce
- 5
Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- 6
Sauté Garlic
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- 7
Add Vegetables
Stir in the chopped vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
Combining Ingredients
- 8
Toss Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to achieve desired sauce consistency.
- 9
Season and Serve
Season with salt and black pepper. Remove from heat, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil before serving.
