Brewing Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Briki
Take a small pot called a briki, which is traditionally used to brew Greek coffee.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
Add 150 ml of cold water to the briki. Then, add 2 tablespoons of Greek coffee grounds.
- 3
Add Sugar (Optional)
If you desire sweet coffee, add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the briki. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.
- 4
Mix Ingredients
Stir the mixture well to combine the coffee grounds and sugar with the water before heating.
- 5
Heat the Briki
Place the briki on low heat. Allow the coffee to warm slowly to prevent it from boiling.
- 6
Watch for Foam
As the coffee heats, it will begin to foam. Keep an eye on it to prevent overflowing.
- 7
Remove from Heat
Once the coffee foams and is about to overflow, remove the briki from the heat. This should take about 3-4 minutes.
- 8
Serve
Pour the coffee into a small cup, allowing the grounds to settle at the bottom. Enjoy your rich and strong Greek coffee!
