Lemon Tart Ingredients

Method

Lemon Tart Directions

1

Prepare the Crust

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter and mix until crumbly. Press the mixture into a tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides. Prick the bottom with a fork and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

2

Pre-bake the Crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.

3

Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

4

Bake the Tart

Pour the lemon filling into the pre-baked tart crust and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly golden on top.

5

Cool and Serve

Allow the tart to cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar. Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.
