Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

  6. 6

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
