Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering but not smoking.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

Add the ribeye steaks to the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use tongs to flip them.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for about 5 minutes.

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic

While the steak is resting, finely mince the garlic cloves and chop the fresh parsley.

  2. 6

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.

  3. 7

    Serve

Top each ribeye steak with a generous dollop of garlic butter just before serving. Allow it to melt over the warm steak for extra flavor.
