Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal patties, each weighing about half a pound.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Ensure it's well-heated for a good sear.

Cook the Bacon and Patties

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Cook the Burger Patties

Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place crumbled blue cheese on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the burger patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. You may toast them lightly on the grill or in the skillet if desired.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted blue cheese, crispy bacon, a slice of tomato, and red onion.

  3. 7

    Add Condiments

Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the bun to taste, then place it on top of the assembled burger.
