Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Kale Slaw

In a bowl, mix the kale and shredded carrot with a few tablespoons of BBQ sauce. Toss well and set aside to marinate.

2

Make the Burger Patties

Form the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3

Cook the Patties

Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they reach your desired doneness.

4

Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

5

Assemble the Burger

Spread garlic mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top. Layer smoked brisket, kale slaw, and hickory sticks on top before adding the top bun.

6

Serve

Serve the Hickory Stack Brisket Burger immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
