Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bananas
Peel the ripe bananas and cut them in half lengthwise to create long slices.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Gradually add water while whisking until smooth and well-combined.
Frying
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat the Bananas
Dip each banana slice into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
- 5
Fry the Bananas
Carefully place the battered banana slices into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- 6
Drain Excess Oil
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried bananas from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
