Remoulade Sauce
Method
Crab Cakes Preparation
- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Form Patties
Using your hands, shape the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
- 3
Chill the Patties
Place the patties on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.
- 4
Cook the Patties
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
Remoulade Sauce Preparation
- 5
Mix Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chopped capers, hot sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
- 6
Chill the Sauce
Cover the remoulade sauce and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
