Method
Cooking the Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the tablespoon of salt.
- 2
Cook Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Prepare Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Grill Chicken
Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 5
Melt Butter
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- 6
Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper.
Combining Everything
- 7
Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing well to coat the pasta evenly.
- 8
Serve with Chicken
Slice the grilled chicken and place it on top of the fettuccine Alfredo. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
