Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix; small lumps are okay.
- 4
Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a little butter to the pan to grease it.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes, until golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Stack the pancakes on a plate and drizzle with warm maple syrup before serving.
