Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Shape the mixture into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patty

Place the patty on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare Toppings

While the patty is cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato and onion.

  2. 6

    Assemble

On the bottom half of the burger bun, place the lettuce, followed by the cooked beef patty. Top with tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles. If using, add a slice of cheese on top while the patty is still hot to melt slightly.

  3. 7

    Finish

Place the top half of the bun on the burger. Your burger is now ready to be served!
