Method
Preparation of Cauliflower
- 1
Cut the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower head. Cut it into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are all similar in size for even cooking.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and water until smooth.
Cooking Cauliflower Bites
- 3
Coat the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess batter.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Cauliflower
Carefully add the battered cauliflower florets to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Toss in Buffalo Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the fried cauliflower bites with the buffalo sauce. Toss gently until all bites are evenly coated.
Preparation of Ranch Dressing
- 7
Mix the Dressing
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
Serving
- 8
Plate and Serve
Serve the buffalo cauliflower bites hot, with the ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
