Prepare Edamame
Rinse the edamame under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.

Boil Water
Fill a large pot with water and add salt. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

Cook Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the edamame to the pot. Boil for 3-5 minutes until the beans are tender but still firm.
Serving

Drain and Season
After cooking, drain the edamame in a colander. If desired, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with red pepper flakes for added flavor.

Serve
Transfer the edamame to a serving bowl. Serve warm, allowing guests to pop the beans out of their pods.
