Method
Preparation of Wings
- 1
Season and Prepare
In a large bowl, season the chicken wings with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- 2
Coat with Cornstarch
Sprinkle cornstarch over the seasoned wings and toss again until they are well-coated.
Cooking the Wings
- 3
Fry the Wings
Heat a large pot with vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the wings in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes per batch.
- 4
Drain and Set Aside
Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making the Spicy Honey Glaze
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
- 6
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently. Allow it to thicken slightly, about 5 minutes.
Preparing Crispy Rice Noodles
- 7
Fry Rice Noodles
In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the rice noodles and fry until they puff up and turn crispy, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- 8
Garnish
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the crispy rice noodles.
Combining and Serving
- 9
Toss Wings in Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried wings in the spicy honey glaze until they are fully coated.
- 10
Serve
Serve the wings on a platter topped with crispy rice noodles for crunch. Enjoy!
