Method
Prepare the Croutons
- 1
Make Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes. In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread the cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 2
Bake Croutons
Bake the croutons in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring halfway through to ensure even browning. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Grill the Chicken
- 3
Prepare Chicken
While the croutons are baking, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- 4
Grill Chicken
Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Assemble the Salad
- 5
Prepare Lettuce
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Add the sliced grilled chicken, homemade croutons, and grated parmesan cheese to the bowl of romaine. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the top.
- 7
Toss Salad
Gently toss the salad to combine all the ingredients and ensure the dressing is evenly distributed.
