Prepare the Burger Patty

1. Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2. Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Burger

3. Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat.

4. Grill the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, until browned. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

5. Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

6. Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Burger

7. Toast the Buns

Spread butter on the inside of each burger bun and toast them on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

8. Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, layer the cooked patty with melted cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
