Burger Patty Preparation
- 1
Mixing Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lime zest. Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 2
Shaping Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Grilling
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and add a slice of pepper jack cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Building the Burger
Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then add a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, avocado slices, tomato slices, red onion slices, and jalapeño. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce and top with the other half of the bun.
