Prepare the Glass
Select a rocks glass and set it aside.

Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
Smoking

Prepare the Smoke
Using a smoking gun, fill it with the wood chips and ignite them according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Infuse the Glass
Once the wood chips are smoking, place the rocks glass upside down over the smoke to infuse it with a smoky flavor. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
Serving

Combine and Serve
Remove the glass from the smoke. Strain the chilled bourbon mixture into the smoked rocks glass, and optionally garnish with an orange twist or cherry.
