Stromboli Base

Method

Prepare Stromboli Base

1

Make the Aglio e Olio Base

In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in salt. Set aside to cool.

2

Prepare Pizza Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, approximately 12x16 inches.

Cook Mushroom Medley

3

Sauté Mushrooms

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the mixed mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Stir in fresh thyme and salt, cooking for another minute. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Assemble Stromboli

4

Layer Ingredients

Spread the cooled aglio e olio mixture evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough. Then, layer the sautéed mushrooms evenly. Sprinkle the mozzarella, parmesan, and goat cheese over the top, followed by the herb mix.

5

Roll and Seal

Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough over the filling into a log shape. Pinch the edges to seal and tuck the ends under.

Bake Stromboli

6

Prepare for Baking

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.

7

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
