Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Soak the Chickpeas

Soak the dried chickpeas in water overnight or for at least 8 hours. Drain and rinse.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mixture

In a food processor, combine the soaked chickpeas, fresh parsley, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is coarse and well combined, but not pureed.

  3. 3

    Form the Balls

Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Falafel

Carefully add the falafel balls to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the falafel balls warm with tahini sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
