Method
Prepare the Meat
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- 2
Cook the Chicken Breast
In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breast, cooking until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Shred the chicken once cooked.
- 3
Cook the Pork Shoulder
In a slow cooker, add the pork shoulder with taco seasoning and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender. Shred the pork once cooked.
- 4
Season the Meat
Once the meat is cooked, add taco seasoning to each meat type and mix well. If needed, add a little water to help the seasoning mix.
Prepare the Tacos
- 5
Warm the Taco Shells
If using soft tortillas, warm them in a microwave or skillet until soft. If using crispy shells, heat them according to package instructions.
- 6
Fill the Tacos
For each taco shell, add a portion of your chosen meat filling to the bottom of the shell.
- 7
Add Toppings
Top the meat with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro as desired.
