Method
Prepare Blue Lemongrass Tea
Cold-brew method (recommended)
Add 1 tablespoon dried lemongrass (or 1 lemongrass stalk bruised) and a pinch of dried blue butterfly pea flowers (for color) to 2 cups cold filtered water. Refrigerate and steep 2–6 hours, then strain. Use 4 oz of the strained brew for 1 serving. If you don't have butterfly pea flowers, add 1/8 tsp blue spirulina later to achieve the blue tone.
Make Pineapple Puree
Peel and core about 4 oz (by weight) fresh pineapple, then blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh if you prefer a silky texture. Measure 3 oz for the drink.
Assemble Mango Ocean Refresco
Fill a 16–18 oz highball or tall glass with crushed ice (about 1 cup).
In a separate shaker or large mixing glass, combine the pineapple puree (3 oz), fresh lime juice (0.5 oz), simple syrup or agave (0.5 oz), and a pinch (0.125 tsp) fine sea salt. Stir or shake briefly to emulsify and dissolve the sweetener.
Add the cold blue lemongrass tea (4 oz) to the fruit mixture and gently stir to combine.
Pour the Ghost® Energy Tropical Mango (12 oz) slowly over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass onto the crushed ice to retain some layering. Alternatively, gently float the energy drink on top by pouring slowly.
Slowly pour the fruit-tea mixture over the ice so that the mango energy drink and blue tea/pineapple create a subtle ocean gradient. If the color is not blue enough, stir a very small pinch (≈0.125–0.25 tsp) of blue spirulina or butterfly pea powder into the blue lemongrass tea before adding — a little goes a long way.
Garnish with 2 lime wheels slid onto the rim and a pineapple leaf or mint sprig. Serve with a straw and a long spoon to let guests gently mix if they want more uniform flavor.
