Method

Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, whisk together the egg and milk in the second bowl, and mix the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken strip in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders into the hot oil. Fry for 4-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.

  3. 8

    Heat the Oil

In another frying pan or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat.

  4. 9

    Fry the Fries

Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels, then season with salt and black pepper.
