Prepare Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water has reached a rolling boil, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Sweetening (optional)

If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or 1 cup of honey into the warm tea until fully dissolved.
Cooling

Cool the Tea
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, or refrigerate for about 30 minutes until chilled.

Prepare Glasses
Fill each glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.

Pour the cooled tea over the ice cubes in each glass. Add lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for garnish if desired.
