Prepare the Coffee Mixture
Brew strong coffee and let it cool. Once cooled, stir in dark rum or coffee liqueur.

Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Tiramisu
Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee mixture and layer them at the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chill the Dessert
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.

Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder. Cut into squares and enjoy your homemade Tiramisu!
