Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Sauté until softened. Add ground beef and pork, cooking until browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook the Lasagna Noodles
While the sauce is simmering, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Assemble the Lasagna
In a baking dish, spread a layer of bolognese sauce. Place a layer of noodles over the sauce. Add a layer of mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

Bake the Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Serve
Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
