For the Guacamole

Method

Making the Guacamole

  1. 1

    Prep the Ingredients

Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mash the Avocados

Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired consistency.

  3. 3

    Add Lime Juice

Pour in the lime juice and mix thoroughly to prevent the avocados from browning.

  4. 4

    Add Chopped Vegetables

Finely chop the red onion, tomato, jalapeño, and cilantro, then add them to the bowl.

  5. 5

    Season with Salt

Sprinkle in the salt and mix well to combine all the flavors.

  6. 6

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the guacamole and adjust seasoning if needed. Add more lime juice or salt to taste.

Preparing the Tacos

  1. 7

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.

  2. 8

    Add Spices

Once the beef is cooked, add chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  3. 9

    Warm the Corn Tortillas

In another skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.

  4. 10

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

  5. 11

    Serve with Guacamole

Serve the tacos immediately with a generous scoop of guacamole on the side.
