Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- 2
Cook the Ground Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- 3
Season the Beef
Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the beef mixture. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Add Beans
Stir in the black beans and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.
- 5
Assemble the Burritos
Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. Place a portion of the beef and bean mixture in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheese.
- 6
Roll the Burritos
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
- 7
Serve
Cut the burritos in half if desired and serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
