Churros

Method

Churros

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Eggs

Add eggs one at a time to the cooled dough, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

  3. 3

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Pipe Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle. Pipe strips of dough (about 4-6 inches long) directly into the hot oil.

  5. 5

    Fry Churros

Fry the churros until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Dust with Sugar

In a shallow dish, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with ground cinnamon. Roll the fried churros in the sugar mixture to coat.

Chocolate Sauce

  1. 7

    Heat Cream

In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

  2. 8

    Melt Chocolate

Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.

  3. 9

    Add Vanilla

Stir in vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated. Serve warm.
