Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Add Nutella

Fold in the Nutella until it is evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Baking

  1. 6

    Prepare Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

  2. 7

    Pour Batter

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  3. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  4. 9

    Cool and Serve

Allow the Pirotella to cool for 10 minutes before serving. You can dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
