Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Boudin

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the boudin sausage for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and slightly crispy on the outside.

  2. 2

    Melt the Cheese

Once the boudin is heated, remove it from the skillet and place it on a plate. If desired, top the boudin with 1 cup of shredded pepperjack cheese. Return to the skillet for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  3. 3

    Drizzle the Syrup

Remove the boudin from the skillet again, and drizzle 2 tablespoons of Steen's syrup over the melted cheese and boudin. Allow it to sit for a minute to let the syrup soak in slightly.
