Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This allows for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it heat for a minute. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries

  1. 5

    Prep the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries. Rinse the fries under cold water to remove excess starch.

  2. 6

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps to achieve crispy fries.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Fries

Drain and pat dry the soaked fries. Carefully add them to the hot oil in small batches. Fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt while hot.

Garlic Butter

  1. 9

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  2. 10

    Finish the Butter

Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley and salt to taste. Set aside to drizzle over the steak before serving.
